I can’t bake for Shi! I am usually a good self-taught cook, but I cannot bake anything worth eating. Iโve always taken pride in my skills as a self-taught cook, experimenting with various ingredients and recipes to create delicious meals. However, when it comes to baking, I seem to hit a roadblock. No matter how hard I try, my baked goods never turn out as I hope. Whether it’s cookies that spread too much, cakes that donโt rise, or pies that are more soggy than flaky, my baking results often leave much to be desired. Itโs a bit disheartening, especially since I see others effortlessly whip up mouthwatering desserts. I really want to improve in this area, but right now, it feels like an uphill battle.
๐ฅ A Bakerโs Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of food and the joy of baking.
As I mix, knead, stir, and pour,
may my hands work with love,
and my heart be full of gratitude.Bless the ingredients I use,
and the people who will enjoy what I create.
May this kitchen be filled with warmth,
not just from the oven, but from Your presence.Teach me patience in rising,
joy in sharing,
and grace when things donโt turn out as planned.Just as bread is made from many parts,
use all I do today to nourish others
and reflect Your goodness. In Jesusโ name,
Amen.
