Beneath the weeping Texas skies,
Where swollen rivers mourn and rise,
Your children, Lord, in sorrow stand,
Their homes swept bare by water’s hand.
The first responders, brave and true,
Wade through the flood to rescue You
In every soul they lift from pain—
Bless their hearts, their strength sustain.
For families grieving loved ones lost,
Who bear the weight of such a cost,
Wrap them, Lord, in Your embrace,
Let mercy shine upon their face.
For those whose spirits ache with grief,
Whose dreams lie drowned beyond belief,
Restore their hope with gentle care,
And show them You are always there.
O God of grace, Your love does flow,
Through shattered towns where waters go.
Mend broken lives with tender might,
And guide them to Your holy light.
We lift our prayers, a woven chain,
To ease the sorrow, soothe the pain.
On this Sunday, hear our plea,
For Texas hearts, set captives free.
In Your sacred name, we pray,
Amen.
