What’s the most fun way to exercise?
The short and true answer to this question is that there is no fun way to exercise. The saying “No pain, no gain” is a well-known adage that highlights the fundamental motivation behind exercise. If an activity is enjoyable and not challenging, it isn’t considered effective exercise. It does not lead to significant improvements in health and wellness.
We live in such a privileged age. Most of us residing in America also live in a lazy society. It has a fast-food chain on every corner. Modern-day Americans are fatter than they have ever been. YouTube supports this by advertising ways to get healthy and lose weight while not doing anything. Some machines shock your midsection into shape. Some pharmaceuticals allow you to lose weight while sitting down.
We are constantly being told that our obesity is not our fault. We are being promised that we can be gluttons and chiseled at the same time. Be lazy and be fit; that is the American way.
Exercise is not meant to be fun. It is not meant to be easy. It is meant to be meaningful and should impinge on a lazy way of living. If it is painful, it is probably working. If it is fun, it probably is not exercise. If you have to take a pill to lose weight, that is dangerous to your health.
Gluttony and obesity are serious problems in the world today, especially in the United States. This is even more prevalent in local Churches and faith-based communities. Ask yourself when was the last time your pastor preached a sermon in gluttony? Preachers love homilies about sex, greed, lies, etc. Why are they not preaching about how Americans are killing themselves utilizing a drive-thru?

The most fun way to exercise is to expand your mind and spirit by renewing your soul daily through reading your Holy Bible.

Maybe I’m a mutant. I *like* exercise.
