“I always say what I mean and mean what I say. I make promises I can keep.”
As a Christian and a moderate conservative, this is what our politicians should sound like. This man sounds confident, erudite, compassionate, yet forceful and deprecating. Notice him calling out fellow conservatives for cowardice. Unfortunately, cowardice thrives on the right. We need fighters, not politicians who excel at oratory.
What this Canadian is promising is exactly what Christian conservatives want from their elected officials. His use of the word “warrior” is needed. He called out the journalist over the “safe injection site” and followed up by holding him accountable for his bias. This was excellent.
This is one of the best press conferences from a politician in recent decades. American politicians should watch this and learn. This was a masterclass in political combat. Trump has this, at times, but is most concerned with cracking jokes and self-edification. This man makes it clear, that he is here to change Canada for the better and protect its citizenry from the encroaching progressive evils that Prime Minister Trudeau has infected this once great country. Make Canada Great Again?
Too bad we can’t vote for him in the coming election.
